WWI 13th Aero Squadron PVC Patch

WWI 13th Aero Squadron PVC Patch — Grim Reapers of the Great War

The 13th Aero Squadron flew SPADs over the Western Front — Grim Reapers who brought death from above.

This PVC patch commemorates the 13th Aero Squadron, a World War I pursuit squadron that flew Curtis and SPAD fighters over the Western Front. The 13th's Grim Reaper identity was one of the most striking in the American Expeditionary Forces' air service, reflecting the deadly nature of aerial combat in the Great War. WWI pilots fought in open cockpits with minimal instruments, relying on skill, courage, and eyesight to survive. The 13th Aero Squadron's legacy helped establish the traditions that American fighter aviation still carries today.

Perfect For: WWI aviation enthusiasts, 13th Aero Squadron historians, Grim Reaper military patch fans, and World War I PVC commemorative patch collectors.
